The Middle East Venture Capital Association (MEVCA) serves the region’s entrepreneurial and investment community through a concerted effort to unite and advance its venture capital industry and broader startup ecosystem. Through curated events, educational programs, and strategic initiatives, MEVCA connects VCs, institutional investors, family offices, startups, policymakers and other stakeholders. 

Since 2019, MEVCA has grown into a trusted forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences, reflecting shared priorities across the region, recognizing the diversity of local markets, and working to unify and amplify the voices of the ecosystem. It serves as both a collective voice for the regional investment community and a strong advocate for venture-backed companies.

MEVCA's board is committed to advancing the region’s venture industry in ways that protect the interests of both investors and entrepreneurs, while encouraging the adoption of best practices across the ecosystem, with a board that includes key leaders in the MENA venture ecosystem. This board is working towards establishing regional best practices and policy advocacy through regular convenings with industry stakeholders, research, and the publication of white papers on the VC and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

To further strengthen ties to the entrepreneurial community, MEVCA has established partnerships with organizations such as the Global Private Capital Association (GPCA), the Global Venture Capital Congress (GVCC), and the Emirates Family Office Association (EFOA), in addition to global conferences including SuperReturn and IPEM, as well as home-grown events such as GITEX, STEP, and RiseUp Summit.
